Tag Achtundvierzig – Morgen (Day Forty-Eight – Morning)

Catching up on reading for my British literature class has been both fun and a race. I started The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe last night, and after getting off the bus this morning (I took the 8.00 bus into town, though I do not have class until 10.00), I was approximately halfway done with it. Being able to read quickly is finally paying off. Living in Germany, my mind finds it a bit strange to have both of my classes in English. However, I am not worried about losing my German skill thanks to working with Rosetta Stone German in my free time,  attending my conversation course, and meeting with my tandem learning partner. My first meeting with my tandem learning partner is this evening. It should be fun.

After coming out of my tutorial for British literature yesterday, having just spoken about books and concepts in English for an hour and a half, I felt for a while as though I had been back in a class in the United States, regardless of the tutorial teacher having a German accent. It seemed strange, because coming out and hearing people talk in multiple foreign languages no longer strikes my ears as strange as it did when I arrived here nearly seven weeks ago.
