Tag Fünfundvierzig (Day Forty-Five)

Today was one of those days that turned out to be exhausting, despite not doing much work. After working around my room this morning, I headed into town with Maddie to find our classroom buildings. As I mentioned before, Marburg has been described to me as “a university-city,” and this is certainly true insomuch as the classrooms are concerned. School buildings are spread throughout the city. Thus, finding them, and figuring out where we needed to go for classes, was an adventure. We stopped for lunch at a small pizza place and then went back to Studentendorf.

A group of us met up this afternoon to place soccer for a couple hours. That was a lot of fun. Then, having clearly not exercised enough (joke), I went back into town to attempt to Skype with my dad, and then walked back to Studentendorf.

I got in touch with my tandem partner this evening. His name is Florian, and he is from Germany. We plan on meeting Wednesday evening to discuss how we are going to work the very free-form tandem “course.” So far as I know, all of my classes, tutorials, and tandem partner meetings are Tuesday through Thursday, so tomorrow is going to be relaxing! Time to break out Rosetta Stone German and keep myself going!
