Tag Einundachtzig (Day Eighty-One)

Today was incredibly busy…and I only had one class. The morning started off with a checking over class schedules and availability for next term in the United States. Then I moved on to working on a presentation for next week. The end of the presentations and papers is finally in sight! I completed a writing assignment and ate lunch before class, which went quite fast compared to usual. (It was British literature tutorial.)

Thankfully, I was able to complete and proof through Tuesday’s presentation and the corresponding handout last night, so everything is set for the presentation that I might have to give tomorrow for British literature class. The way this works is that there is one general topic for all of the people assigned presentations that day. All (four, in this case) of us then prepare our fifteen minute presentation with a different focus (on the same topic). On the day of the class, the teacher chooses a name from a hat. The one of the four of us who is chosen has to give their full presentation. The other three have two weeks to turn in a write-up of their presentation topic, and they are also supposed to utilise what they prepared in contributing to the class discussion that day. Therefore, one way or another, the work that went into preparing a fifteen minute presentation is not lost or wasted.

Tonight is registration for classes for next term in the United States. Unfortunately, what would have been a mid-afternoon registration in California is going to be a midnight registration here in Germany, but I think I have everything planned out so that I can get the classes that I need. The key will be that my class schedule could change mid-December if a class, which I am planning on waitlist-ing, allows waitlist-ed students into it.
