Tag Einundsechzig (Day Sixty-One)

British literature class this morning gave me hope for an easy presentation when it comes time to give mine (the 15-minute presentation that one may or may not get chosen to give). I say this because the teacher seemed to love the presentation that was given, and it was not of the calibre that would be in the 90-100% range at my home university. One must consider, though, that this is a German university, and this class is taught in English. Thus, for many students, they are giving presentations in what is not their mother-tongue, even if they have had ten or more years of experience with English.

Tutorial for this same class was cancelled today because our leader had to meet with her landlord, so I came home early to work on homework. Reading books, reading articles, reading summaries, reading short-stories…my life seems to be filled with reading. Thankfully, most of this reading is fun. I was also able to complete my part of the presentation that I have to give on Thursday in my sci-fi class, along with two of my fellow classmates, in regards to Octavia Butler’s “Bloodchild.”

Today was a very foggy day. The fog sat in town the entire day. Even now that the sun has gone down, I can still see that street lights are blurred by the thick fog. Most of my homework for the day is done. It is time to make dinner, brew some tea, and continue reading!
