Tag Fünfundsechzig (Day Sixty-Five)

After a long day of writing, taking breaks from writing, brainstorming, and more writing, my response paper is finally done…a week early. This is certainly a good thing, because in a week, I am going to be hit with another paper and two presentations. So, getting this paper out of the way now, while the information from the book (Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone) is still fresh in my head, is the best idea. It was a response paper, much like the one that I had to write for The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe. This time I did not lace my paper with as much logic (as I did when I wrote about dualism in Narnia and the balance of good and evil forces), but instead wrote about how the author, J.K. Rowling, used archetypes in creating the Four Houses in order to bring diversity and substance to the story.

Despite this work, I did get out of the house today for several hours, going into town with Maddie to grab lunch at the Mensa (it is only open for two hours on Saturdays). They had an interesting dish…breaded and pan-fried fish with spaghetti. But the spaghetti was normal spaghetti sauce…with German egg noodles (advertised as spaghetti, though). The combination was different, for certain. Not bad tasting at all.
